Chart of PayDay lotto resultsI recently read on
redflagdeals that if you buy 3 PayDay tickets, you get the 4th for free. I don't play the lottery much, but a free ticket sounds like a nice deal.
So I got curious, cut and paste the PayDay lottery results into a spreadsheet, and made a graph. The y axis is the frequency, the x axis is the actual number. FYI, PayDay has 77 numbers, of which, they draw 4.
Does the chart look a little funny to you? It does to me. Up until 35, it looks like a fairly flat distribution with some irregularities, as to be expected. But from 36 to 77, it looks different. I see a series of waves. And it looks as though the highest frequency numbers all peak within these waves.
It could be a fluke, but if I were playing, I'd pick the peaks of these waves, and anything in the middle...
My numbers are....
37, 38, 39
44, 45, 46, 47
52
60, 61, 62, 63
71, 72
Unfortunately, that's still 14 numbers, way too many to play in all combinations. Good luck.
